CAPSULA is a psych power band formed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and based in Bilbao, Spain. Since their early days, they’ve been crafting a sound rooted in the raw spirit of South American rock—drawing influence from artists like Pescado Rabioso—while merging it with fuzz-drenched garage heavy riffs, hypnotic grooves, and the immersive force of desert psychedelia. Their music blends dreamy melodies, heavy riffs, and cosmic textures, all wrapped in vintage 70s analog warmth.

The band has released over a dozen albums across two decades, including acclaimed records like Rising Mountains and In the Land of Silver Souls, produced by Ivan Julian and John Agnello, and Solar Secrets, produced by Tony Visconti (David Bowie, T. Rex). Their reinterpretation of Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust transformed the glam classic into a dark, fuzzed-out trip.

Known for their intense live performances, CAPSULA has played over 1,000 shows throughout Europe and the Americas, including festivals like Primavera Sound, SXSW, and Austin Psych Fest, sharing stages with Iggy Pop, Pearl Jam, Os Mutantes, and X.

Their 2024 release Primitivo Astral deepens their exploration of heavy psych—merging hypnotic riffs, saturated textures, and surreal atmospheres. CAPSULA continues to evolve as one of the most compelling acts in the global psychedelic scene.

They’ve also released multiple KEXP live sessions and continue to build bridges between continents through high-voltage energy and sonic mysticism.
